We All Love Beethoven 4

Whiteboard.

I’m convinced that issue of ‘looking harder’ at an image that looks 'free flowing and no too details' is the by product of making people not look harder.

Drawing massively detailed images makes it possible to draw less detailed images.

As in, Picasso had to learn classical oil painting techniques before he could draw cubism.

As in, being loose with a line requires a foundation of rigidity.

It’s also an issue of balance. Directing the eye.

How do the following three images direct the eye and lead to an emotional sensation..
- X (intersecting lines > conflict aggression)
- _\|/_ (diverging lines > opening, freedom, expanding)
- = (parallel lines > equality, safety, solution)

... the big fat conductor directs the eye and the lines are purposefully and mistakenly setup in a certain way to configure a particular emotional reaction. balance. i draw, the page responds, i draw, the page responds.

a line can become a circle and then the circle can become a sphere and then the sphere can become a nose.

Anyway. Free flowing images require a huge amount of discipline.
